We’ve met in Belize in Sarteneja at Backpackers Paradise. Ed is a son of the sea and Nath a jungle girl. We build our love in Sarteneja, between the green of the tropical forest and the blue of the Caribbean sea. We live a simple life, trying to be apart of the western over-consumption system, closer to mother earth.
We don’t have a car and don’t encourage people to buy one. The bus is fine for long distances, and the horse buggy perfect for small trip like getting groceries in the village.
We are developing projects like reforestation, hardwood tree nursery, organic farming, sustainable wooden boats…
We whish it would make this world a little bit better. We are very involved and integrated in our community, try to help people to have a better relation with the nature.
Respect of the community and its simplicity, that’s really what is important for us.
Nahtalie
Nath is a biologist herpetologist. She spent 6 months studying reptiles at Shipstern Nature Reserve doing an
estimate of the herpetofauna. She did her fieldwork for the Biology Masters’ degree in the jungle of Shipstern Nature Reserve. Then she decided to stay in Belize and realized her dream to be in permanent contact with nature, snakes and horses.
She traveled to Vietnam and Thailand.
After 5 years of biology studies in Switzerland it’s time to share it for fun… are you ready for snake handling ?
